If a broadband internet connection were available in your area, would you get it? This was another recent survey recently undertaken. Not surprisingly, 80% of respondents said "Yes". When asked what stopped people from going broadband, 77% said it was the price. Yes, price remains the biggest barrier for broadband. Why did you decide to get broadband? When this was asked, 94% said because of ‘faster access to the web’. 75% said because of ‘file access or file sharing’. Broadband connections are making a big difference.

In fact, those who experience broadband speeds are much more likely than dial-up users to be online during a typical day. Here are some more study results.

• Broadband Internet surfers spend more time online than dial-up users (95 minutes on average for high-speed users during any given day, compared to 83 minutes for dial-up). Obviously, broadband connections makes this difference.
• Broadband users do more things online. Multi tasking is possible by simultaneously doing more than one activity in a single session. 43% of those who benefit due to broadband connection speed have multiple online sessions per day versus 19% of dial-up users.
