ATT broadband - speed up the downloads

Janelle paced around her kitchen, scowling at the useless phone hanging on the wall. Her husband was on the computer again, using the internet. It had become a constant battle between them, for the computer and Janelle both wanted to use the phone line, and only one could use it at a time.

Huffing with frustration, Janelle picked up the ATT broadband advertisement that was stacked with the rest of the junkmail on her counter. With a frown, she read over it.

To her inexperienced eye, the broadband from ATT seemed no more expensive than her current dialup. She had no idea what the difference in speeds were, nor did she truly care. All she wanted was the use of her phone back, and broadband by ATT seemed to have the solution she wanted.

In big, bold black letters, it proclaimed the ability to have the internet and the phone at the same time. How it did this, and through her phone line, Janelle did not know. Nor did she care.

Scowling, she crossed the threshold into the den, where the family computer and her husband were at. Without a word she crossed her arms, pointed at the modem, and waited.

"Honey, I'm busy." Her husband drawled, his eyes never leaving the computer screen. Wrinking her nose, Janelle stood her tallest, towering over him in his chair.

I'm calling ATT, and having them install their internet broadband. You will get off my phone line, and you will get off it now." She hissed the words, letting loose her pent up frustration. "I need to do work to earn money, and your downloads have gotten in the way for the last time. With broadband, you'll be happy, I'll be happy, and it won't cost us more than a few extra bucks a month."

Stunned, her husband turned to stare at her. Perhaps it was her unusual behavior, but in any case, Janelle was not about to bend in her decision to aquire broadband from ATT. Enough was enough, and she was going to take charge of her home, and the internet that was locking away her phone.

When he nodded, mouth gapping open like a fish out of water, Janelle reached over and yanked the phone cord out of the offensive modem and stalked back to her phone to make the phone call to ATT to inquire about their broadband services.
